 SpaceX Falcon 9 Rocket Launches Eutelsat 36D Satellite and Starlink Mission

In a remarkable feat of engineering, SpaceX successfully launched two Falcon 9 rockets from Florida's Cape Canaveral Space Force Station on March 30, 2024. The first launch of the day took place at 5:52 p.m. Eastern Time, carrying the Eutelsat 36D satellite into orbit. Following a successful liftoff, the Falcon 9 booster for the Eutelsat 36D mission gracefully returned to Earth, landing on the Just Read the Instructions drone ship stationed in the Atlantic Ocean. This reusable booster technology is a cornerstone of SpaceX's mission to reduce launch costs and revolutionize space exploration.

Less than four hours after the Eutelsat 36D launch, SpaceX returned to Cape Canaveral Space Force Launch Complex 40 for another Falcon 9 mission. This time, the rocket carried a batch of 23 Starlink satellites, designated as Starlink 6-45. These satellites will join SpaceX's ever-growing constellation in low Earth orbit, providing high-speed internet access to users around the globe.

A planned Falcon 9 launch from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California was scrubbed due to unfavorable weather conditions.
